Master Switch Fitting Instructions.

Master Battery Switch has been designed to eliminate the possibility of the alternator Circuit

being damaged due to a heavy voltage surge that can occur with the use of a heavy duty

single circuit On/Off switch. When turned to the off position the engine will be automatically

stopped due to the secondary switch function whereby the ignition is cut. This prevents

engine 'run on' and is a vital safety factor especially in competition use. Master Battery Switch

is also a very simple and effective Anti Theft device for cars, trucks, boats and Ag, vehicles.

Charging

The XS 800 has a fully automatic, four step charge:

    Desulphation
    Runs a complete charge cycle within a fraction of a second. The cycle repeats during the whole desulphation phase. Every cycle recovers some lead sulphate into useful material.

    Bulk
    Charging where 80% of the energy is returned. The charger delivers a constant current until the battery voltage has reached the set level.

    Absorption
    Final part of the charge up to 100%. The battery voltage is kept constant at the set level, during which time the current drops gradually.

    Pulse
    Maintenance charging. The state of charge varies between 95% and 100%. A pulse is sent out to the battery if the voltage drops. This keeps the battery in trim when not in use. The charger can be connected for months at a time.

Using the XS 800 gives your battery an optimum service life and operational reliability.

Batteries

The XS 800 charges lead-acid batteries (Wet, MF, GEL and AGM) from 1.2Ah to 32Ah. You will find an explanation of the various battery types under Charger University, Battery Types.

The charger can also be used for maintenance charging of 12V lead-acid batteries from 1.2Ah to 100Ah.

The XS 800 is easy to use. You do not need to make any settings. The charger adapts the charge to suit the battery and switches to pulse maintenance charging when the battery is fully charged.
